Matt grew up in England, immersed in sports from the moment he could walk. His diverse athletic background spans soccer, football, lacrosse, and cricket amongst others, excelling as a high-level player at both school and university levels. While earning his degree in Economics, Matt’s passion for sports remained a defining part of his life. After spending five years in a corporate role with Airbus Defence and Space, Matt decided to follow his true calling - turning his love for sports into a full-time career. A certified Personal Trainer with over a decade of coaching experience, he has worked with athletes of all ages, from preschoolers to university students. Matt’s mission is to make sports accessible and enjoyable for everyone, inspiring communities to embrace physical activity and discover a love for not only mainstream sports but also non-traditional sports. He is dedicated to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle for those of all ages.

Owen McBride
Founder & President
Owen McBride brings a wealth of experience within the sport and recreation sector. After over a decade of playing soccer at the highest levels in North America, including playing for the Vancouver Whitecaps Youth and Simon Fraser University’s Varsity Men’s, Owen, along with a team of industry professionals founded Private Coaching Co. At just 19 years old, Owen began navigating the business world, expanding services, growing his team, and establishing new partnerships within Canadian communities. Owen also operates as the Executive Director of the Play4Life Foundation. Owen graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences

Emma Bulick
Operations Coordinator
Emma began her coaching journey over a decade ago as a junior soccer coach in grade 7, sparking a lifelong dedication to youth sports and mentorship. Since then, she has mentored at five recreation centers and led over 50 physical education programs across the North Shore, reaching hundreds of young athletes. A former collegiate soccer player and national competitor in ultimate frisbee, Emma brings personal athletic experience and a deep understanding of resilience and commitment to her coaching. She is passionate about instilling confidence in young athletes, helping them discover a love for sports while learning valuable lessons in teamwork, determination, and self-belief. Emma’s mission is to empower the next generation to unlock their potential and thrive.

Daryl Devonish
Director of Experience
Daryl Devonish is a renowned entrepreneur, high-performance coach, and former educator with over 25 years of experience in strength & conditioning, youth athlete development, and movement science. He holds an Honours Specialist in Physical Education, a Bachelor of Physical Education & Health, and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. His background as both a physical education teacher and university-level kinesiology instructor has given him a deep understanding of athletic development, biomechanics, and long-term athlete success. As Founder of Athlete Prep Inc. and Director of Experience at Private Coaching Collective, Daryl has built training environments that go beyond the game. His philosophy is rooted in the belief that great coaching isn’t just about performance—it’s about building strong, resilient individuals. He emphasizes fundamental movement mastery, mental toughness, and a data-driven approach to injury prevention and skill progression. By fostering a culture of accountability, leadership, and continuous improvement, he ensures that every athlete is prepared not just for competition but for life beyond sport. Daryl has worked with athletes at every level, from youth development to professional competitors, helping them refine their skills and push their limits. With certifications including NSFC, RTS, CSCS, and MPM, he continues to lead in sports science and high-performance coaching, shaping athletes who are physically strong, mentally tough, and equipped for long-term success—on and off the field. Devon Wood-Kerluke
Chief Administration Officer
Devon Wood-Kerluke is a strategic administrative leader with 20 years of experience in healthcare and education, bringing expertise in operations, change management, and project development. A former high-performance soccer player and competitive figure skater, she understands the resilience, discipline, and structure that sports instill—lessons that shape both athletes and individuals. As CAO of Private Coaching Collective, Devon oversees administrative operations, strategy, and expansion, ensuring the organization delivers a forward-thinking approach to athlete development. She is also a Partner and the Director of Operations & Development at Athlete Prep Inc., where she drives initiatives that blend high-quality coaching with a focus on mindset and personal growth. Devon believes that coaching should go beyond the game—recognizing that young athletes are individuals first, with unique needs, aspirations, and potential. With a background in organizational leadership from Northwestern University, Devon has led entrepreneurial ventures, large-scale change initiatives in healthcare and education, and community-driven initiatives focused on youth empowerment. Her passion lies in redefining youth coaching—moving beyond skill development to cultivate confidence, resilience, and lifelong success. Her guiding philosophy? Be a good human.
